THE BAHATI PRIDE

Chanel, Serabie, Raka and Tau

Chanel, Serabie, Raka and Tau are the Bahati Pride and the among the first lions to make their home at Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary. Chanel was the very first arrival at Emoya in June 2013. She had been rescued as a three-week old cub from an illegal trader in Cairo, saved from a life of captivity or worse, and eventually brought to Emoya to live out her life in the semi-wild. Serabie was rescued from a canned hunting operation and was the focus of a documentary exposing canned lion hunting. Raka and Tau came from a zoo in Limpopo.
